DGA Group is a global advisory firm that helps companies and organizations manage risk, protect their reputation, and grow in complex environments. We help clients anticipate and prepare for the impacts of political and regulatory developments on their business, and develop strategies to shape outcomes, enter new markets, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders such as policymakers, investors, employees, and the media.
With more than 300 professionals across 13 offices worldwide, we combine international reach with deep local knowledge. Belgium sits at the heart of that story: our Brussels office is home to both a Belgian Public Affairs & Communications team and an EU Public Affairs team, serving as a national hub and a gateway to the European Union—where decisions often set standards that influence global markets.

From Brussels Roots to a Global Platform
Our roots are firmly planted in Belgium. In 1982, Interel was founded here and grew into one of Europe’s most respected public affairs agencies. Nearly four decades later, Interel came together with Albright Stonebridge Group (ASG), the Washington, D.C.-based global strategy and commercial diplomacy firm founded in 2009 by former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and former U.S. National Security Advisor Sandy Berger, along with other leading experts to form DGA Group in 2021.
This combination brought together Belgian and European depth along with transatlantic and global reach. Today, DGA is a multidisciplinary firm built for the complexity of modern business, offering clients insight, foresight, and execution across borders.
Belgium at the Center of our Work
Our Brussels office brings together more than 100 professionals advising clients on public affairs and strategic communications across Belgium and the European Union. Working together, our experts provide a clear view of how Belgian politics and EU policymaking intersect – and how both impact opportunities and risks around the world.
This multidisciplinary approach matters:
- A Belgian renewable energy company needed clarity on how EU hydrogen rules would affect its investments. We combined Brussels insight with U.S. policy analysis to help shape its long-term strategy, ensuring the company could expand with confidence across European and transatlantic markets.
- A global pharmaceutical firm turned to us for guidance on aligning Belgian pricing decisions with EU regulation. By coordinating engagement at both levels, we helped safeguard patient access while maintaining constructive dialogue with regulators, allowing the company to protect its reputation while continuing to innovate for patients.
- A U.S. technology company wanted to understand new AI legislation in Brussels. We mapped the rulemaking process, identified key stakeholders, and linked it to debates in Washington, enabling the client to prepare globally, not just locally, and positioning it to influence emerging standards rather than simply adapt to them.
In each case, Belgium was not just a market. It was the arena where broader European and international trends converged and where DGA helped clients engage constructively.
How we Help Clients
The issues our clients face rarely fit neatly into one category. A regulation can spark business risks, reputational questions, and political engagement needs all at once.
In every case, we help connect the dots by:
- Delivering insights through monitoring, stakeholder mapping, and analysis that surfaces risks and opportunities.
- Navigating public policy by helping clients shape and respond to debates, drawing on colleagues who have served in government and negotiated at the highest levels.
- Engaging key stakeholders by protecting reputations, building trust, and communicating clearly in high-pressure situations.
In Belgium, this means supporting health organizations like the Breast International Group (BIG) and Stichting tegen Kanker / Fondation contre le Cancer, guiding energy and mobility companies through the energy transition, and advising international firms on how to adapt to Belgium’s multilingual, fast-moving environment.

Why DGA Says #Yes2Belgium
"Belgium is not just a strategic location for our European operations—it’s a place where we invest in talent, innovation, and long-term partnerships. Our commitment to Belgium reflects our belief in its vibrant economy, diverse culture, and pivotal role in shaping the future of Europe."
Belgium is both a national arena and the EU’s political capital, making it a unique place to do business. Turning that position into an advantage requires more than presence. It requires perspective, trusted relationships, and clear strategy.
That is where DGA contributes. From Brussels, we help clients anticipate the debates that will define Europe’s future in diverse areas such as energy, health, technology, and finance. We connect national and EU policymaking so clients can prepare for change instead of reacting to it. And we use Belgium’s position at the center of Europe to help both European and American companies not just understand the rules, but help shape them.
We have said Yes2Belgium because it is where our story began and where it continues to grow. Belgium gives us the vantage point to see the big picture, connect the local with the global, and help organizations protect and grow what they have built in an uncertain world.
