Henk Vanhulle succeeds François De Bauw

Linklaters has appointed Henk Vanhulle as managing partner of its Belgian offices. He succeeds François De Bauw, who took on this role five years ago. François will now focus full time on his client work.

Henk has been a partner since 1995. Prior to this new role he was Linklaters’ global tax practice head. Henk is specialised in domestic and international corporate tax, tax litigation and employee share schemes. His practice is ranked first tier in the main international guides to the legal profession.

He graduated from the University of Louvain (KUL), holds an LL.M. from the University of Illinois and a degree from the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Fiscales.

Henk will continue to practise and lead the Belgian tax practice.

Henk Vanhulle said:

“These are challenging times for our clients and they are increasingly looking for high-quality and added-value services. François did a fantastic job throughout these five years. With a clear strategy in mind he took up the challenge to shape our Belgian practices in order to respond to the new market realities. We will build on his great contribution and further position our Belgian offices as centres of excellence in all the areas of law we specialise in.”
