CS&A International is delighted to announce the recent addition of Ms Cathy Heeley to its team of Associates. Cathy has 29 years' experience as a legal counsel, of which the last 14 years in-house for a number of multinational organisations. During this time, she has managed a wide variety of crises affecting high level stakeholders.
Having established, maintained and applied crisis management processes for several organisations, Cathy has gained a level of expertise that will further strengthen CS&A’s presence in Asia.
More About Cathy Heeley
As an in-house counsel, Cathy has been a lead member of teams responding to various crises across Asia Pacific. She has played a leadership role in crisis situations involving melamine in milk powder in 2009, riots, kidnapping and terrorist incidents in China, Indonesia, India and Thailand, extortion threats in Vietnam and India, food scares in Malaysia, India and Japan.
She is an experienced trainer, having developed training programs for businesses across Asia Pacific and she has led initiatives to establish risk management systems, integrating them with business strategy as well as global perspectives. In addition, she worked as a tutor in company law and governance at the University of Melbourne.
During her career as an external legal counsel, Cathy worked with several industries including mining, banking, financial services, construction, paper, infrastructure and food and has experience navigating a wide range of organisational cultures.
She holds an Economics degree from the Australian National University and a Law degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
