More About Stefan Lütgens
Since the mid 1990s, Stefan has been helping international organisations prepare for crises via custom-fit solutions that include developing robust crisis plans, facilitating interactive training workshops and conducting crisis exercises to enhance crisis teams’ level of preparedness. Over the years he has also provided clients with on-call operational support by acting as media spokesman and as interim crisis manager.
Prior to joining the CS&A team, Stefan worked as an independent consultant and advisor on strategic communications for more than ten years. He also held leadership positions in media and public relations, corporate communications, and corporate and public affairs for a number of international corporations in the automotive and FMCG industries, where issues and crisis management were a key area of activities. For instance, during his eight years working with Kraft Foods in Germany, at its international HQ in London and its EU office in Brussels, Stefan was responsible for the international crisis management system and media training programme.
Fluent in German and English, Stefan holds both a Master’s degree and a PhD in Communication Science from the University of Salzburg in Austria. He is member of the German Public Relations Society’s Crisis Communications and Issues Management working group.
