Brussels Airlines starts sales and operations of its new Premium Economy Class

Since May 1, Brussels Airlines has started sales of its new Premium Economy Class. Operations will start in August on the three North Atlantic routes (New York, Washington D.C. and Toronto).

New Premium Economy Class

The brand-new Premium Economy Class represents relaxation and privacy. In a separate cabin, with only 21 seats, passengers can sit back in their roomy seats that include a larger headrest, extra-wide armrests and screens, and enjoy a relaxing trip.

More personal space

Our premium seats offer an increased amount of private space with extra legroom of 38", which is 23% more than in Economy Class, and a generous recline angle of 40°, which is 56% more recline angle than in Economy.

Passengers can enjoy a 13.3” HD entertainment screen with hours of entertainment, or, if they prefer to stay productive throughout the flight, there is a large tray table perfect for working on. With access to power outlets, passengers can be assured that they can continue working throughout the entire flight. There is also plenty of storage space for magazines or their personal belongings. Premium Economy Class also includes a larger allowance of free checked-in baggage – with two bags of up to 23 kg each.

Booking and last-minute upgrade

Premium Economy Class can currently be booked on all flights between Brussels and North America (New York, Toronto and Washington D.C.) for travel from August onwards and will be gradually introduced on the African network.
All Premium Economy fares can be combined with Brussels Airlines’ intercontinental fares in Economy and Business and with those of the Lufthansa partner airlines. (*)

Passengers travelling from North America to Africa can buy a last-minute upgrade to travel in Premium Economy Class to Brussels. Upgrades can be bought at the check-in counter, at the gate or on board. Passengers can buy an upgrade into the Comfort Zone for the flight segment from Brussels to Africa. The upgrade can be bought at the airport ticketing office at Brussels Airport or directly at the gate.
