Join us for our Lunch & Learn on The New Companies and Associations Code!
The new Companies and Associations Code entered into force on May 1 of this year. After the first months of practice, has it lived up to expectations? Has corporate law become more simple and more flexible? Has the much-touted BV-SL become the default corporate form par excellence? Is Belgium on its way to becoming the Delaware of Europe? Or has practice already shown new and unexpected difficulties?
Join us for our next Lunch & Learn event, during which experts will share their recent findings in implementing the new Code.
The discussion will cover corporate, tax, notarial and liability aspects, for which we present a panel of experts including Jan Bogaert (Stibbe), Tim Carnewal (Berquin), Hadrien Chef (Osborne Clarke), Luc de Broe (Laga), Paul Van Hooghten (Jones Day), and a representative from the insurance world.
The panel will value an interactive debate and will welcome questions and remarks from the audience. You may send through specific topics/questions ahead of the event to ensure your specific interests are addressed.
This event is supported by the Legal Subcommittee. If you are a member of AmCham Belgium and would like to get involved in either the Legal Subcommittee or the Legal & Taxation Committee, please feel free to contact the staff liaison, Sue Wheeler (firstname.lastname@example.org).
