More than 360 US companies call the wider Antwerp region their home. Those companies employ close to 40,000 people and continue to invest significantly, not in the least in people and in innovation. They are a major success factor of the Antwerp regional economy.
By setting up an Antwerp Chapter, AmCham Belgium aims to reach out to the US and international companies based in the Antwerp region at large and to provide these companies with a regular and varied program of US focused networking and information opportunities. Antwerp region companies will have access to new business contacts, will have more opportunities to exchange knowledge and best practices and stay up-to-date with business developments in the area. More information on the Antwerp Chapter from Joost Van Roost, President at ExxonMobil Benelux and Chairman of the Antwerp Chapter Steering Committee.
During the launch of the Antwerp Chapter at the Antwerp Office of the National Bank of Belgium on June 27, Governor of the Province of Antwerp, Cathy Berx, gave her view on AmCham Belgium's new initiative. Please see the video below for an outtake of her speech or click here for the full transcript.
