One of AmCham Belgium’s most essential activities is its business lobbying initiatives – at the European Union, Belgium government and other essential business related entities. AmCham Belgium takes a strong position on a number of issues that effect business in Belgium and lobbies for resolution and change.
AmCham Belgium strives to improve the environment for business and investment in Belgium by lobbying for the interests of its members. Our guiding principle is “A successful past does not guarantee a successful future” – which is why we rely heavily on the resources and ideas developed by our numerous Committees and over 200 business men and women. Working together, we can adapt to the rapidly changing climate or doing business in Belgium.
To promote our lobbying activities – and to keep the Belgium business community informed – AmCham Belgium publishes a number of documents and reports, including:
Lobby Flash
When our business lobbying efforts lead to tangible results – like the renegotiation of a Tax Treaty – AmCham Belgium sends out a Lobby Flash to all members and stakeholders stay updated on the good news.

Position Papers
One of our main objectives is to provide U.S. investors in Belgium with a platform to voice concerns and ideas for reshaping government policies.
